Career development is an ongoing process with life-long opportunities for growth. CUNY's Career Services provide students with the necessary skills to make informed decisions about their careers, education and employment while at CUNY and beyond. Career Services professionals begin to assist students during their freshman year in their quest for self-understanding, appraisal of interests and abilities, and the determination of their career objectives. Campus career centers act as liaisons to prospective employers, the academic community, and the student population. Services offered by career professionals include skills and interest assessment, career counseling, referrals, on-line resources and information on current job market trends. CAREER SERVICES ASSOCIATION OF CUNYThe Career Services Association of CUNY (CSAC) is the professional association of career professionals who work in the City University of New York (CUNY). The mission of CSAC is to provide a forum for career service staff to share information, to provide in-service training for its members, and to serve as a liaison between the campus career centers, employers, parents, students, and the CUNY Central Office. CSAC members provide comprehensive career services to students at all points in their career development. Students can obtain help with choosing a major, developing job search techniques, and gaining access to thousands of job postings. Career service offices are equipped with the latest technology to insure that students can compete successfully in the job market. RELATED LINKS
